Rollyo allows the user to create customized search engines. Teachers can pre-select the sites students search, saving the students time and narrowing the scope and focus of the information retrieved.
On the other hand...this limits the student's exposure to much of the information, and can color the student's perspective.
I created a new search for RESOURCES, ideal for fourth grade; a starting point. The search is public under gdeering.
