As a graduate student,I used wikis to complete group projects. Students uploaded their PowerPoint presentations. The group then critiqued them, made comments and edited their own and other members presentations. Then end products were truly collaborations.
As evidenced in Thing # 15 , there are many ways to use wikis with class assignments, eliminating paper and lots of e-mails. At an ICT conference I attended in Keystone, CO in late June, the participants used a week to communicate their ideas and resources. Now there is a record of our experience at the conference that we can continue to utilize as a learning tool.
